Campaign Platform:
UNSEEN WORLDS / UNHEARD VOICES
The Insight:
People mistake “I haven’t heard of it” for “it must not matter.”
The Opportunity:
Netflix can own “discovery” as a brand promise — turning what the world hasn’t heard of into what it can’t stop talking about — backing deep-ocean exploration and commissioning emerging filmmakers to document the journey through a Netflix original series.
Teaser Trailer / Manifesto Film
A teaser trailer that frames the campaign’s thesis: what we don’t know exists, we don’t protect. A launch tone piece leading into a Netflix series full of discovering both wildlife and the emerging filmmakers documenting it.
A poster series meant to honor the ocean life we never got the chance to advocate for — species that disappeared before the world learned their names. It points to a larger truth: if the ocean stays unmapped and unknown, it stays unprotected. The goal isn’t to mourn what’s lost, but to build a habit of attention — to see sooner, name sooner, and care for what we haven’t met yet.

Depths You Haven’t Reached… Yet
(Interactive On-Platform Experience)
To promote Unseen Worlds / Unheard Voices, we built a row that treats emerging filmmakers like undiscovered species: present, brilliant, and easy to miss until you look. Depths You Haven’t Reached… Yet is filled with films/shows from voices outside the algorithm — titles you’ve never searched for because you didn’t know they existed. Just hover to reveal the thumbnail and discover what’s been there the whole time. Unseen Worlds / Unheard Voices is all about exploring the unknown, so we turned the Netflix homepage into a little expedition.
We kept the billboards simple and placed them where you’re forced to pause: stop signs, bottlenecks, long red lights. These challenged what people assumed they knew about Earth, because you can ignore an ad — but you can’t ignore curiosity. The QR code turns that wonder into action: scan, land on Netflix, add it to your list.
